Data we collect
We store your account email, learning progress, AI tutor chats, exercise answers, AI marking results, and feedback you choose to submit. Passwords and invite codes are stored only as irreversible hashes. Do not enter identity numbers, home addresses, phone numbers, or payment details into AI chat.
Why we collect it
We use this data to provide sign-in, saved progress, continued conversations, exercise generation and marking, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and feedback handling. We do not sell personal data or build advertising profiles from learner conversations.
What is sent to DeepSeek
When you use AI tutoring, question generation, or marking, we send the current lesson content, your question, a short amount of relevant recent chat, or your exercise answer to the DeepSeek API. We do not send email addresses, passwords, cookies, database user IDs, or invite codes. DeepSeek is an independent service provider and processes inputs under its own terms.
Retention and deletion
We retain service data while your account exists. You can clear learning records only, or permanently delete the whole account after entering your password. Account deletion removes the account, sessions, chats, progress, answers, and feedback from the live database immediately. Older copies in encrypted backups disappear automatically within the backup retention period of up to 35 days.
Cookies, security, and logs
The login cookie is used only to maintain your session and is HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite protected. Production logs do not contain passwords, cookies, database URLs, API keys, learner questions, answers, or raw DeepSeek replies. The database is not exposed directly to the public internet, and backups are encrypted before leaving the server.
Learners under 18
Learners under 18 should use the service with guidance from a parent, guardian, or teacher and should not provide directly identifying sensitive information in AI chat. A parent or guardian may contact us about access or deletion through the email below.
